What do our Community Guidelines cover?
1. Sensitive Content
We strive to create a platform that makes our users feel welcome and safe. We do not allow content on JioSaavn that depicts overtly sexual content, graphic sexual images, pornography or nudity
We do not allow any content observed to sexually harass any specific individuals or groups.
We do not allow content involving glorification of rape and intimidation of victims of sexual assault.
We are committed to the safety of minors and have zero tolerance for any content that: (i) depicts nudity and graphic imagery depicting sexual activities involving minors, (ii) depicts, encourages or promotes sexual advances made by adults towards minors; or (iii) is intended to show minors engaging in a sexual act.
2. Dangerous Content
We do not tolerate or condone any kind of content that contains language, actions or behaviour targeted to incite, promote or glorify violence or harassment of any individual or group of individuals based on their caste, race, religion, gender identity/expression, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, age, or body type.
JioSaavn does not allow and will take down:
- any content that promotes and incites gruesome, excessive and vivid depictions of violence, gore, torture, mutilations, dismemberments, corpses, wounds, immolation and burning, which is highly shocking and disturbing in nature;
- content depicting violence or cruelty of any kind towards animals;
- content that incites hatred, promotes terrorism, spreads extremist propaganda, promotes crime, hurts religious sentiments, or disrespects the flag of a state;
- content which has the capability to disrupt societal harmony and threaten public disorder;
- content threatening irreversible and/or life threatening damage with or without dangerous weaponry;
- content glorifying a violent lifestyle involving pranks with weapons or challenging the audience to perform dangerous stunts with the likelihood of it being imitated by a younger audience; and
- content which promotes, incites and glorifies self-harm and/or suicide through harassment and or bullying.
3. Deceptive and Exploitative Content
At JioSaavn we strive to provide content that to the best of our knowledge is true and accurate. As such, any content that contains false or fabricated information will be removed or will have a disclaimer to denote that such content is pending screening and verification.
JioSaavn does not allow and will take down:
- any content intended to solicit or collect personally identifiable information of a user (phishing);
- any content that reveals or is intended to reveal or dox the personally identifiable and confidential information of a user;
- any content trying to promote or instruct malware attacks to gain control of computer systems, technologies and networks;
- any content which promotes untested, false, illegal and deceptive medical information through the use of false reports, trials, testimonies and research which pose a threat to public health;
- any content spreading rumours or conspiracy theories depicted as facts and not mere opinions;
- any content claiming to be and/or impersonating an individual, brand, organization or entity with an ulterior motive; and
- any content which promotes fraudulent monetary and investment schemes and tactics to exploit persons out of their finances, including but not limited to:
- pyramid schemes;
- unverified and illegal multi-level marketing schemes;
- ponzi schemes; and
- schemes that involve investments in illegal activities.
4. Illegal Content
Content which violates any laws or regulations or which is intended to promote any act of an illegal nature will not be allowed on JioSaavn. This includes:
- Any content found to promote activities that involve gambling and betting of any kind will be taken down immediately from JioSaavn.
- Any content that involves buying, selling and facilitating the use of illegal services and contraband which include but aren’t limited to:
- prostitution or human trafficking;
- dealing and trading of any kind of firearms and weapons;
- dealing and trading of drugs and controlled substances;
- animal trafficking; and
- dealing and trading of animal goods classified as illegal and or/derived from endangered species.
- Any content which is found to infringe intellectual property rights (i.e., copyrights, trademarks, patents, and trade secrets) of another will be immediately taken down from JioSaavn including, but not limited to:
- a creator passing off a third-party’s content as their own by changing the credited artists or by any other means or manner; and
- any unauthorized use, access, possession, duplication and/or exploitation of content without having the requisite license, permission or authorisation.
5. Additional information
These Content Guidelines also apply to content that is deemed to require moderation, even if not expressly provided herein.
Any content that violates the terms of these Community Guidelines will be removed from JioSaavn. Repeat violations may result in suspension or termination of a user or creator’s account at our sole discretion.
6. Reporting
If you see something that you think may violate any of the terms of these Community Guidelines, please write to us at feedback@jiosaavn.com to report the issue.
Any content that you believe is infringing the intellectual property rights of a third-party or your own, please reach out to us at legal@jiosaavn.com along with the links of the infringing content and in the manner provided in the “Infringement Claims” section of the Terms of Service.
If you believe that any content was wrongfully removed from JioSaavn, you may write to us at feedback@jiosaavn.com with a request to reinstate such content.
