Areas of the Gion District in Kyoto are now restricted due to tourists abusing the businesses and individuals in the area just for a picture of the geisha wandering the streets. The Japanese government is even erecting a wall over a Lawson's in Fujikawaguchiko because tourists were littering so much and causing traffic blocks just to snap a viral photo... While its great to see the tourism industry thrive in such a beautiful country, it is a shame that many people are taking advantage of the niceties that Japan has to offer.
