About
In 1939, ten thousand Jewish children from Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Austria were helped to flee to London to escape persecution. It was the largest humanitarian operation before the outbreak of World War II. These rescue efforts became known as the Kindertransport. This is the story of Trudy Bandler, one of those children. She was just five years old when she left her parents behind.
