Reliance Jio has announced that American private equity firm Silver Lake is investing $750 million into Jio Platforms. This investment represents a 12.5% premium to the equity valuation of the Facebook investment, which was announced a few days ago. Reliance Jio says the investment led by Silver Lake is further testament to the world-class digital platform that Jio has built, powered by Cloud and Edge Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, among other technologies.
