Dr. Doucet talks about her Ph.D. dissertation on the philological approach to the Troubadour lyrics in Occitan, Old French. She shares some interesting examples of linguistic ambiguity in translation, pointing out the possibilities it opens up in producing meaning. She explains the utility of Voyant to her research and how quantitative research in Digital Humanities may contribute to qualitative textual analysis.
