When guests staying at the Cecil hotel in downtown Los Angeles started complaining that the water in their bathrooms had low pressure and had started to have a nasty taste, the hotel maintenance worker headed up to the rooftop water tank to complete his inspection. Tragically he found the body of 21 year old Elisa Lam, the young tourist who had been missing for almost three weeks.
