About
MOJO MAGAZINE ISSUE 384 NOVEMBER 2025: Reviewed! Long live years of discovering new music and new things, in every which way! Welcome to a podcast reviewing a magazine full of reviews! We will finally reach peak meta when Mojo reviews us reviewing them. There will be a day, mark my words. Until then, I suppose we’ll just carry on reviewing things that review things without being reviewed by those things in return necessarily. Sigh. Maybe if we exclusively review things from decades gone by we will eventually get noticed by them. Or rather, twenty years after the podcast ends, but leaves in its wake a slew of pale imitations that take over the podcasting landscape. But really, we are really happy magazines are still around. Please continue to stay around. Even if your super in-depth nature made it tricky for our rinky dink podcast to cover every inch of the coverage you provided us (especially since one of us had a hard out on the record today … hi!) we are still very much grateful for your existence. As we are wont to do, let’s talk about you. Mojo lives here on what the kids call a “website”: https://www.mojo4music.com/You can consider subscribing to Mojo here. Join us in becoming readers of things over scrollers of things, preferably with a nice coffee and in your book nook: https://www.mojo4music.com/subscription/This is the magazine we’re reviewing this week. Order a copy. Read the second half and join us on a future Patreon special (along with a special where I watch the correct episode of Drag Race! We will call them the REVENGE OF THE CONTENT SPECIALS) where we cover all the things we didn’t get round to today, from Terry Reid and Bob Dylan/the free CD to The Who and all the reviews: https://www.mojo4music.com/magazine/latest-issues/mojo-384-november-2025-bob-dylan/Think Floyd still exist! Woo hoo: https://www.thinkfloyd.net/gigsWe discussed Tim Burgess and his work with The Charlatans and having referenced enjoying a Charlatans performance about two decades ago, I’ve decided, I am done with dismissing them. He seems awesome and the MOJO interview was great. I’m gonna try them out and start with this super early single that Tim talks about making it to No. 12 in the charts the same week Oasis with Some Might Say and Blur with Country House battled for No. 1 and brought their battle for Britpop supremacy to a climax. I will be embarking on this journey (as with most journeys, to be fair) off-pod, so don’t worry Christopher … maybe worry, we’ll see … (p.s. PLEASE PITCH THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blqPQP7RPXwWe almost talked about Terry Reid! Here he is singing his song Without Expression live on The Old Whistle Test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jwa7KgVuypkSay Hello Wave Goodybe by Soft Cell (most famously covered by David Gray on White Ladder): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exdCiRPvmpUThis is the song Spiritual by Spain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf96yZ4wW2AThis is the song Spiritual by Spain, as covered by Johnny Cash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URr40jjgT7UCheck out our website: cccappraisalhour.showCheck out our e-mail: cccappraisalhour@gmail.comCheck out our Twitter: twitter.com/cccappraisalpodCheck out our YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@cccappraisalhourCheck out our Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cccahourSpecial FAVE MOMENT FROM THE POD RECORD note for VIP read-the-whole-show-notes-members only: When Christopher discovered that Thom Yorke has a brother … whose band also reunited recently!
