With us today, we have Patrick Thibaudeau, Patrick is the Director of IT Innovation and Academic Technologies at York University. He has held this central role in the University’s Information Technology department for over 8 years and for 17 years before that, he held a similar role at the University of Alberta. Patrick is an E-Learning expert, focusing on the integration of technology with purpose and intention within educational environments. His particular specialty is Moodle, an open-sourced learning management system that he is able to code-out and personalize for York’s particular student and instructor needs. Patrick’s diverse background includes time spent performing in both the dramatic and musical arts – giving him a unique perspective and open mind, that allows him to envision creative solutions and participate in the often unpredictable process of innovation.
