About
Orphaned at 15, Catherine walked a tightrope juggling parenting her younger siblings and chasing after an education in rural Uganda. With the support of teachers who believed in her and doctors who took her in as a daughter, she pursued a bachelor's from Hope College in Michigan in Political Science and International Studies and then a master’s in Development Studies from the University of Oxford. Catherine is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in rural communities in Africa, and is currently located in Kenya working towards that goal.
