Vinnie's estranged daughters, Katie, Rachel, and Christina, gather to be at his side as he lies dying of cancer in his bedroom. The oldest, Katie, takes charge right away and gives the others instructions on how to handle the circumstance. Rachel, who continues to reside in their father's Bronx flat, becomes agitated over this. Despite being a middle-aged couch potato who enjoys smoking weed and betting on sports, Rachel has been Vinnie's main carer during his illness.
