Five cities, four states, and a year into the pandemic later, I had made the decision to hit the road again and move from the Southwest back to the Pacific Northwest, only this time Portland, Oregon was the destination that the universe had placed in my path. With only $800 in my pocket and a tenacious attitude, I was determined to make my move to Portland one that I could prove to myself that even though I had the rug pulled out from under me, I can land on my feet.
