Are Our Students Ready for Digital Devices? The interviewer, Cassandra Barnett has been a school librarian for 42 years and is currently the Program Advisor for School Libraries for the Arkansas Department of Education. Digital citizenship is part of what school librarians teach so we are very interested in helping our students be responsible and ethical when online.The special guest interviewee, Robin Finley is a District Administrator in Alma School District and one of her roles is as an Instructional Technology Specialist. This is Robin's 33rd year as an educator. She feels that data privacy and cybersafety are essential parts of education today. She is part of our SMAC Advisory Group. In episode 1, Cassandra Barnett and Robin Finley discuss ways to help students positively engage with the digital world and how educators and parents can partner with their students and children to help them become better digital citizens.
