Dr. Julie Steinhauer overcame trauma as a child and has built an amazing practice in developmental optometry. Dr. Steinhauer OD, FCOVD, is in Glen Carbon, Illinois, and is one of the few developmental optometrists in the nation. Her practice, Vision For Life, is becoming known worldwide for outstanding results in working with children and adults with various vision problems that affect their ability to read, write, comprehend, perform in sports or perform on the job.  Her practice is booming. Clients have even driven as far away as New York City to get treatment. Revenues are growing at a rapid pace.  In addition she reinvented herself several years ago and also became a coach to other optometrists. She even has a Facebook group dedicated to optometry where doctors and others pay to ask questions, share information and seek out answers.  Julie had a rare stomach disease as a young child and it took many, many months of doctor visits before someone actually figured it out. It put her behind in school and caused many emotional problems as well as physical ones.  Dr. Steinhauer has a great story of how she encountered a number of personal problems and was able to bounce back from those to have a family, find her niche and build a successful practice. She is a very positive person, with a bubbly attitude. She has done dozens of YouTube videos and has a big following on social media.
