The Glatzel family claimed they were haunted by malevolent forces in the early 1980s. Ed and Lorraine Warren, paranormal investigators, were involved in an exorcism of David Glatzel, a young boy allegedly possessed. During the exorcism, Arne Cheyenne Johnson, the boyfriend of David's sister, reportedly invited the demon into himself. This incident led to a highly publicized murder case where Johnson fatally stabbed his landlord. The story of the Glatzel family's haunting and Johnson's subsequent legal defense, claiming demonic possession, became the basis for the film "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It."
