Home rental company Airbnb, is laying off nearly 1,900 employees, which constitutes 25% of Airbnb's total workforce, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has brought global travel to a near standstill. The laid-off employees in the U.S. will get 14 weeks of base pay, in addition to one additional week for every year at the company.
