Without any reason, no one does anything. What about you, do you do anything without a reason? I don't think so. Even loving God has a reason! Why do you love God at all? We have our own unique reasons. St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153) was a French monk. He played different roles to help the Church to face various challenges, including schism. He revived monasticism in the West. He had this to say about 'why we must love god': “The reason for loving God is God Himself." God is the very reason why you and I must love God. God is the highest good and everything is superlative when we think of God. Then, a different question is raised, 'how should we love God' God, Himself answers this question in Deuteronomy 6:5, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might." God commands us to love Him in the following manner: 1. with all our heart 2. with all our soul 3. with all our might Let's, with the intercession of St. Bernard, love God. ====================== You are most welcome to follow me on the following platforms. ====================== To understand the Incarnation (the Word made flesh), try this book by Fr.
