Neither Scottish nor Irish society have ever been homogeneous.&#160;&#160;Galway, a port city that was essentially an English city, was a very diverse city, and that diversity still carries on today.Rab’s many years of storytelling at the Crane Bar and some insight into being a working storyteller.Growing up in Glasgow in a working class family with a duality of language speaking Scots, a cousin of English sometimes called “bad English.” The only Scottish history Rab was told was about the land clearances, an act of ethnic cleansing, and it was framed as a good economic practice.&#160;&#160;Why do we tell stories?
