About

The Gonzales family were a prominent, Philippine-Australian family that resided in New South Wales, Sydney. They immigrated from Baguio, Philippines after the Luzon earthquake of 1990 destroyed their home and business. Teodoro, AKA Teddy, and his wife, Mary Loiva, had two children together, Sef and Clodine. Teddy and Loiva worked hard to build a life of success for their family, so they had high expectations of their children when it came to their education. Teddy and Loiva were especially proud of their eldest son, Sef, who was doing extremely well in his classes at Macquarie University, where he decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and studied law. Teddy had hoped that he'd someday be able to leave his law firm in the hands of his son. July 10, 2001 had started out like any other day for the Gonzales family, but at 11:48pm that night, New South Wales ambulance dispatch would receive a frantic call from Sef Gonzales, exclaiming that his family had been murdered in their home.
