Slipmatt is a hero of the hardcore scene and is quite rightly known as the Godfather Of Rave. Fascinated with playing vinyl on his parents’ record player before he could even walk, the young Matt Nelson quickly developed a thirst for soul music that lead him to start buying imported records at an extremely young age. Inspired by a DJ in a local Essex nightclub, Slipmatt was perfectly placed for the rave explosion that soon followed and played at every legendary event that took place during that time.
