फरवरी में प्रकाशित ऑर्गेनिक एग्रीकल्चर रिपोर्ट 2018 के अनुसार, भारत में दुनिया में सबसे अधिक जैविक खेती करने वाले लोग रहते हैं। पुरे विश्व में जैविक खेती करने वाले लोगों के संख्या तक़रीबन 27 लाख हे, उनमे से 30 % यानि की 835,000 प्रमाणित जैविक खेती करने वाले लोग रहते हैं। हालांकि, जब प्रमाणित जैविक खेती के तहत क्षेत्र की बात आती है, तो भारत का पुरे विश्व मैं भागीदारी सिर्फ 2.59 प्रतिशत ही हे। लोगों स्वस्थ भोजन के लिए बढ़ती हुई जागरूकता को देखते हुए इस क्षेत्र में भविष्य में अपार समभावनए हैं जैविक खेती और रोजगार के अवसरों के बारे में अधिक जानने के लिए, तरुण निर्वाण ने रामंजनानुलु से बात की, जो वर्तमान में सेंटर फॉर सस्टेनेबल एग्रीकल्चर के साथ एक एक कृषि वैज्ञानिक के तौर पर काम कर रहे हैं। (India has the largest number of organic producers in the world, according to the World of Organic Agriculture Report 2018 published in February.
