In Episode #38), we discussed “What is Chiropractic?” Episode #39, we discussed “What is Acupuncture This week in Episode #40, we’re talking about “What is Hypnosis?” Hypnosis is a form of therapy that uses a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration to help you gain control over thoughts and behaviors that are undesirable to you. There is no loss of control over your behavior during the session, but you are more open to suggestion during hypnosis. Hypnosis may help to treat a variety of conditions, such as: anxiety, post-traumatic stress, smoking, overeating, pain and many other health disorders. Sometimes we need help to redirect our thoughts and behaviors without using prescription medicine and dealing with their side-effects. It’s nice to know about all our options.
