The Shining

The Shining is a horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on the novel by Stephen King. It follows Jack Torrance, a writer who takes a job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado. He moves there with his wife and young son, but soon begins to succumb to the supernatural forces within the building.
