You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.I read something some time back that i just think it's best i share here in my own words: In refining silver, one needs to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames are hottest as to burn away all the impurities. "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver." The silversmith has to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver is being refined and has to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it is in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. Also, you know when a silver is refined when the silversmith sees his image in it." So whenever you are feeling the heat of the fire, discouraged about your process, remember that God has His eyes on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.Hold on till He is through with you,and you will come out shinning. This is the beauty of the process: the result of His image reflective in you.Hebrews 4:15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Christ in us, the hope of Glory: this glory is seen when we stay and trust our process in Him, allowing for His leading and obeying in time.However, just as there is a process in God, there is a process otherwise.James 1:15 Lust gets pregnant, and has a baby: sin! Sin grows up to adulthood, and becomes a real killer.If you are not growing in the nature of God, you are growing in the nature of sin.
