The vanara army with bloodcurdling cries charged the eastern gate of Lanka. They clambered up the walls and broke the ramparts. Very soon they made inroads into the other three walls. The whole place was alive with a mass of leaping and screaming vanaras bent on destruction. This is the story of their mighty battle.
