55, 6-5, SHOW  NOTES & COPYRIGHTS,  (5/6/2022)Today we have poems the unpublished THE NEXT NOTEOOK and THE LAST NOTEBOOK.The first one is from April 26, 2020, FacebookUNFINISHED Thought One:Drive on through the rainWhatever the pain.At the end of the dayIt is His way.As I drive the highwaysI often findThoughts of my waysLitter my mind.The byways of lifeAt times lead to strife.Do I turn left or rightTo take me through life.Through the fog and hazeIt is Jesus I praise.He is never wrong.He is my song.Thought Two:Let us now singJesus is KingHis name be praisedWith our hands raisedThought Three:The end is nearThe end of daysThough have no fearFollowing His waysThe worldHas swirledCast adrift From the riftA Special Thought:There was a schedule,Surgery to be performed.She was prepared,Then words were spokenLeaving her broken.Her life had been blessed,Children and grandchildren,Family and friends always,And always her Lord, JesusThere were times of distress,A loved one’s death.Perhaps times of doubt,But there was her Lord, Jesus.As always she will prayThat He lead the wayThrough each and every dayWalking with her Lord, Jesus.Let us all prayThat in His loving embraceShe will know His healing graceThroughout her days.Tim CarterFrom April, 2020Yesterday I happened upon a music video of Simon and Garfunkel’s Sounds of Silence.  I find it haunting and thought provoking.  The thought of this poem have been in my mind for years.  What will we find in the silence?Jesus said, knock and the door shall be opened.  As a nation we at some time shut the door.  And so many ask where God is today and question His silence.  My prayer today is that as a nation we are healed of the divisions in our lives, of the hatred for others, of our trust in our leaders, and as sheep having the wool pulled over our eyes.  We ask why and where, but do we care?  Lord God, Heavenly Father I pray for the healing of this country and the hearts and minds of its citizens.  I pray the we open the door, take it off the hinges and break it apart so it can never to be closed again.  I pray Father in the name of Your son, our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus.DO WE HEAR THE SILENCEAmid the noise do we hearThe silence of the soundThat is only to be foundWhen to one we are near?Voices today shoutAnd throw word aboutRights and wrongs.Who writes these songs?Death and destructionLed us to obstructionOf what was understoodTo be sought after and good.Today people take Him to taskAs they have the audacity to ask,“If You are a God of love,Why not descend from above.”Then a voice was heardAnd He spoke these words,“I have been here,But you refuse to hear.You did not want Me nearBecause of your fearThe truth would be foundIn the voices of the...
