60, 6-10, SHOW  NOTES & COPYRIGHTS,  (6/10/2022 )When life gets in my way, or when I get in the way, then feeling God’s love again.SHAKENWhat we hold dear,Overcoming fearOf what has been takenWhen our life is shaken.It is then to rest,Time to be blessed,Know that what was lost,It was worth the cost.The pain of loss,Lost at the cross,The loss of one’s self,Taken off the shelf.What loss does bringCosts not a thing.What then is foundIs love profound.The loss of strifeTo save your life,No longer forlorn,Now stronger reborn.8/1/19, tcarter#MomentsofRhymesinGodsTimesDiscussion:July 10, 2019 (Poem 9.9)Book 4 will be full of short poems, at least short for me.  There is still my need to write the longer poem.  This came out last night when the idea for a poem came to me.  Not sure if it will make the book or not.  And yes, I did pray before I write the first line. INTERRUPTION God beat me up today.Not really,He let me do it to myself,He did, really.I had not wanted to pray,Then he took me off the shelf. Yes, there was a beating,It was me fightingand receiving the punchesI was throwing at myself,Punches of despairAnd discouragementSolidly landingOn my broken soul. The rhyme was gone,So was the song.It did not take longFor all to go wrong. The Lord had blessed me.Jesus had set me free.So tomorrow I could seeWhat God meant me to be. And then,Just whenDoubt had crept inBegan the sin,The sin of unbelieving,Rejection of my receiving. I had turned my backAnd did not want to askWhy I could not cry,Why I could not try.Was this my good-byeOr was it just a lie? Then I heard a voice,“My son, it is your choice.Have no fear,I hold you dearTo My heart.”He removed the dart. Then came news of the rhymes.There came word of the timesOf yesterday,Words for today.Words of hopeThat I may cope. God did quietly waitAs I wandered astray,Wandering from the straightPath leading the wayTo the patience I need.If I wait, His word will feed. I had faltered,Though that hadn’t alteredThe love God has for me.When in darkness I cannot see,At the right moment in timeHe covers me with His rhyme. Afterthought:I once read a book, “Love Wins.”I would change that to, “God’s Love Wins.”His love overcomes sin.It is through His word we win. 7/9/19, tcarter Discussion:DO WE DO THIS TO JESUS?
