About
With God we are never alone, He will never forsake us.AN ETERNAL HEART (pg. 135) Therefore we do no lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.2 Corinthians 4:16 As our years pass our outer body shows age.In the book we write of life every year turns a page,But with God every day our soul he renews. The outside and inside present different views. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us and eternal glorythat far outweighs them all.  2 Corinthians 4:17 In the earthly life we live we will faceTrials and troubles that will test our faith. It is in each trial and trouble that we findAn answer from God that is beyond our mindTo understand because his ways are not ours.He loves us all for all time through all the hours. The strength of our faith will growAs his seeds God does sow,Seeds of love for him in those who are meekSo that at all times, in all things it is him that we seek. So we fix eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.  2 Corinthians 4:18 It is only with God that we can look at the unseenWith the hope and promise that goes beyond our being. We have the promise through Jesus, God’s Son,That after our death, for eternity with him we will be one. We live in a temporary state in these jars of clayKnowing that we will be with God at the end of our days.Through eternity and beyond we will be foreverWith our Heavenly Father, we will live forever© 2019 God Still Rhymes by Tim CarterDiscussion:  I found it interesting in reviewing the poems for the Show Notes that this poem is the perfect follow up to my week in the hospital a couple of weeks ago.  I chose the poems for today’s podcast 2 weeks before that.  God?  I think so. FOR THOSE HE LOVES (pg. 119) There are words of our feelingsAnd words for our healing. There are arms that embraceAs life’s threads we lace. For him his life was more than touched,It was ravaged by cancer,  An ugly uncaring diseaseFor those it reaches out and touches. But somehow through all of the pain,When all around the skies just rain,Though not knowing the futureThere always was hope in love. It was in a book about a young boyWho was born inside out.The story told of his growing from toysOf childhood to the toys of his children. There was love in a poem on a brown paper bag. There was love in the air that made him awareThat with this girl he could not let time drag. The love she gave him was all he wanted to share. There were children, not one but five,So every day he knew that he was alive.Family, oh the love they would giveEach and every day he did live. The story continued through the love of sadness,When life gave those who were there at his birth,When it was their lives that were turned inside out,When happiness and hope appeared much less. First one, then the other,Married for so many yearsThey suffered togetherAs others watched through...
