63, 7-3, SHOW  NOTES & COPYRIGHTS,  Today we are starting with the poems for Chapter 2 of God Still Rhymes.  It is titled Just a Thought with a note that says, not long to read, not that long to write.  Chapter 2 can be found on pages 11 - 19.I Wonder WhatI wonder what does this meanSnow falling in a summer sceneLeaves falling from autumn trees From the wind of a spring rain breezeLife, so many questionsStrife, not so many answersLike a surgeon’s dull knifeSaving an alcoholic’s wifeDiscussion:Won’t Be In the BookWhen I dieWhere will I layOn the judgement dayWhat will I sayIt will be too late to prayIn the great by and byReflection on Won’t Be In the BookIt is how God works.  The title was to mean that this poem won’t be in the next book.  But with God, it means if you haven’t said the prayer of salvation, you won’t be in the Book.Discussion:RestWhen life has taken your best,Take a step back, but don’t look around.Do not be disturbed by the soundFor all you ever need can be found.All you will ever need, in God’s rest.Discussion:Love RebornYour love is like a warm gloveIn winter’s storms.Your hand protects me Against life’s storms.When I feel tattered and tornYou remind me I’ve been reborn.Discussion:The Words Of The words of action,Our actions silently speak,Silently telling the story Of who we areBeneath the stars of nightAnd the shining sun of day.I pray that all we don’t sayTells the world of God’sAlmighty Glory.May our actionsGuide our wordsSo that reactionsReflect what others Seeing have heard.Discussion:In My Pessimism In my pessimism there is hope.Knowing what God’s word saysRelieves my fears, Wipes away the tears,Knowing what the world facesThe places that will burn.Yes, there is pessimism In knowing.But more, there is hopeKnowing that there is time,Time for more to turn.Blinded by sight,There is time that They may be made right.Hope is always there,Always through prayer.Discussion:Our Loss at the CrossThe cross,not for our loss.The painfor what we gain.We can withstandif we do stand,not as the world sees us,but through the eyes of Jesus.As he was raisedwe sing with hands upraisedthat he might be praisedtil the ends of the day.Discussion:Through his EyesHis eyes are on me. Oh, it might be. Yeah.
