I'm excited to bring you this week's guest Dr. Mahsa Hojat-Khoshniyat. Dr. Mahsa has over 15 years of experience in the field of Mental Health, working with hard-to-reach populations, those struggling with histories of trauma depression anxiety, and relationship difficulties. During her career, she has earned a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master's in Social Work at UCLA, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work, with an emphasis on psychodynamic treatment. Our childhood is when we learn who we are and are introduced to the world and how it functions. Together, we explore the causes and effects of childhood trauma, and you may be surprised to learn that trauma doesn't just go away. Negative and traumatic experiences you have as a child does impact you and your mental health as you move forward and grow older.
