Mark chapter 6 contains several events from the life of Jesus. The chapter begins with Jesus visiting his hometown of Nazareth, where he is met with rejection by the people who knew him as a carpenter. He then sends his disciples out to preach and heal, and they are given instructions not to take any provisions for the journey. Later in the chapter, we read the story of the feeding of the 5,000, where Jesus miraculously feeds a huge crowd with just a few loaves of bread and fish. Jesus also walks on water and heals many more people. The chapter concludes with Jesus visiting many villages and preaching the message of the Gospel.
