Mark Chapter 4 is about Jesus teaching the crowds using parables, or stories, to convey spiritual truths. In this chapter, Jesus teaches the parable of the sower, the parable of the lamp, and the parable of the growing seed. He explains that those who truly hear and understand the word of God will bear much fruit, and he encourages his disciples to have faith in the midst of challenges and obstacles. Jesus also demonstrates his power by calming a raging storm, displaying his authority over the forces of nature.
