Holestar is an award-winning cabaret artist, belting vocalist, DJ of other people's music, promoter and Mistress of Ceremonies since 2003. Blurring boundaries between gender, the avant-garde and mass entertainment, pop culture and the underground through music & performance. A former British soldier, brothel receptionist and dominatrix with an MA in Fine Art (from Central St Martins, London).In this episode of Living Legends, Holestar and Alfie talk about gender within drag, the term ‘AFAB Queen’, winning Best Drag Act at London Cabaret Awards 2105 and being a part of East London’s notorious queer scene documentary, Dressed As A Girl.
