Kanika Powell was an intelligent, strong, young woman and military veteran. She worked with a top secret security clearance at a government lab in Washington D.C. But one day, a man knocks on her door, a knock that both scares and alarms Kanika. Through the course of a week, more knocks come from anonymous visitors–including one man claiming to be with the FBI. And shortly after, Kanika is gunned down on her doorstep in broad daylight.
