How to be a successful entrepreneur with featured guest Stephon Martin

Stephon Martin is a 23 year old writer and entrepreneur. He is a driven professional who believes in advocacy, individuality, and the power of ideas – no matter who they come from.Born and raised in Brooklyn, Stephon has always had a passion for creative writing. During his middle and high school years, he often wrote poems and short stories in his free time. He performed poetry competitively in New York and California, and has presented his work at several other venues.​He transferred to Binghamton University from St. John’s in 2012, and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in History. There, he was able to establish himself as a leader. His experiences include Vice President of the Thurgood Marshall Pre-Law Society, Chapter Liaison & Team Lead for the Red Cross, and Binghamton University Admissions Ambassador, among others. He graduated as the commencement speaker for the Class of 2015.Since graduating from University, Stephon has pursued a career as an entrepreneur. Stephon is founder and CEO of Rhetoric Advising, a strategy firm that helps companies brand themselves and manage relationships with employees, clients, and partners. He uses his penchant for creative writing to help organizations tell their story, while helping employees have their voices heard.Stephon’s passion for writing and mentorship continues to this day. He currently runs and writes for Quarter Life Crisis, a blog dedicated to helping millennials navigate leadership, learning, and failure during their 20s. Most recently, he has co-founded Men on a Move, a nonprofit organization that seeks to mentor young men of color in cities across the country.Stephon strives to always be driven by success, rather than by a fear of failure. His experiences have left him passionate about imparting that mindset on as many people as he can. He believes that every individual has tremendous value, and has made it his life’s work to help others realize their value.
