How to be a professional writer

The first step to getting into writing is by becoming a wide reader. Read. Read just about everything. Read about things you know you like and about things you know you don't like. Ask the library attendant or bookstore owner for some recommendation, enquire from friend what they last read, ask a book critic what's popular lately, and read all of them.
