As a teenager, I couldn’t wait to leave home and finally have “my freedom.”  When I finally got the freedom I thought was out there in the real world, I discovered something I hadn’t expected:  my freedom came with a lot of responsibility.  I began longing to go back home where my parents took care of the responsibilities — especially at Christmas. Like me, God’s children wanted their freedom.  They, too, quickly learned that life outside of the protection of home was not what they'd expected.
