EWM INSIGHTS with Special Guest - Kandace Barnes, Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce, President and CEO

Kandace Barnes is a Washington native, graduated from Seattle PacificUniversity with a degree in marketing before earning her M.B.A. . She thena post baccalaureate in Visual Communications. With a passion forproblem solving and cutting through the clutter, Kandace spent the first halfof her career focusing on product marketing, communication, and specialevents, specifically within large corporations including Verizon Wireless.After making several trans-continental moves, Kandace returned to thePNW and made the transition into higher education where she developedand marketed new and innovative graduate programs, helped colleges withcommunications and fundraising, and created prospecting tools for theUniversity of Washington, Trinity Lutheran College, and Seattle PacificUniversity.More recently, as the executive director for the Snohomish STEM Network,Kandace worked closely with economic and workforce developmentinitiatives and local industry, findings ways for businesses to connect withthe community, create partnerships, and establish relationships. She is agraduate of Leadership Snohomish County, and has served as arepresentative on many county-wide initiatives including COVID recoveryshort and long-term planning.Kandace lives with her two young daughters and husband, and their St.Berdoodle puppy, Coco. She enjoys listening to live music, cooking forfamily and friends, and being near the ocean in any capacity.
