Donato Balencia was an Italian serial killer who killed 17 people on the Italian Riviera from October 1997 to April 1998. He had a troubled childhood and a history of psychiatric issues. Balencia used a 38 special revolver loaded with wad cutter ammunition in his killings. He targeted sex workers, jewelers, and money changers.
