About

Some conversations start with a bike and end somewhere else entirely. This is one of them.Adam Wilkoszarski is a photographer from Poznań, Poland, who rediscovered cycling as therapy and never really looked back. In March 2026 he cycled 1100 kilometres through Poland, Czechia and Germany to Zurich — in winter, mostly alone, sleeping in temperatures around zero. He arrived two days early. The bike, he said, was a rocket. This guest episode was produced by Pascal Pensa and recorded at the MONoPOLE store in Zurich, off the back of Tool Talk #2 — an evening built around bikes, gear and the stories that happen when you leave the city behind.Mentioned in this episode:Adam Wilkoszarski — Photography: adamwilkoszarski.com / Instagram: @adamwilkoszarskiMONoPOLE Toolbike — the 'rocket' Adam rode: monopole.cc / Instagram: @monopole.ccAdam's full interview on the MONoPOLE website: Travelling at the Right PaceAper Gear Apex 1 — the bikepacking tent field tested on the trip: apergear.com / Instagram: @apergearBatticuore — bikepacking bike and gear rental in Zurich: batticuore.chVoice by: Stefano Nucera aka Calamaro and Pascal PensaPhotos by: Music by: Bonus PointsThe BroomWagon Podcast Your favourite independent cycling podcast powered by Calamaro Support the BroomWagon Podcast: https://ko-fi.com/broomwagonpodcast
