In 2006, director Christophe Gans and writer Roger Avary attempted to adapt the classic horror video game Silent Hill. They made a few changes (like the character names and all of the lore and pulling creature designs from different games and also completely rewriting the story), but fans have since praised this film for actually not being that bad.
