The second part is verses 7-21, where John shows how God can love His people when He loves through us. God’s love for us through His people removes the fear on the day of judgment, as we know that Jesus will be our advocate, standing beside us. Our obedience to love and faith results from knowing that if people love God, they love one another. This love is so unique that if His children stray, He will receive repentant believers again.
