From being described as “Bollywood's Next Big Singing Sensation” by Forbes Magazine to earning the title ‘Pyjama Popstar’ by New Zealand Herald, Shirley Setia is a worldwide sensation amongst the youth, with over a million subscribers and followers on her social media accounts, Shirley is one of the youngest Indian singing talent to emerge in the industry. Amongst the plethora of contemporaries in the industry, Shirley has proved that she is not just another YouTube star but a full-fledged recording and performing artist, all within a span of 3 years.

Other than her collaborations with International creators, Shirley has had the privilege of working with Bollywood biggies such as Atif Aslam, DJ Chetas, Sachin Jigar, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Raftaar, Jubin Nautiyal, Ehsaan & Loy and more. Having performed internationally on many occasions including the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK, she has performed for a crowd of thousands at the coveted YouTube Fan Fest, Mumbai. Shirley is also the winner of ‘Best Hindi Song for Tu Mil Gaya’ at Artist Aloud’s Independent Music Awards, ‘BIG Digital Sensation’ at 92.7 BIG FM Golden Voices & ‘OSM Musician Of The Year’ at Outlook Social Media Awards.

Apart from a range of Bollywood and Pop covers and Mashups, Shirley as an independent artist has put across some chart breaking releases in a year like Jab Koi Baat with DJ Chetas & Atif Aslam which has ruled the charts for months together and garnered over 50 Million views. Her Punjabi deubt Koi Vi Nahi with Gurnazar took the country by a storm with its uber cute video and was trending on YouTube for over a week and garnered 10 Million views and 1.5 Million Streams within a week of release. Her Bollywood playback debut came with the mammoth hit Disco Disco from A Gentleman which went onto become the dance anthem of 2017. Her independent release Tu Mil Gaya went on to win the best Hindi Song at the Artist Aloud Independent Music Awards.

Born in Daman and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Shirley was discovered by the Record Label Giant T-Series through a contest conducted over YouTube. Amidst the chaotic life of being a student and a part-time radio jockey, she discovered her passion of music by churning out Bollywood renditions and has since collaborated with various international YouTube stars from UK, US & Canada. Drawing inspiration from Asha Bhosale and KK to the likes of Justin Bieber, Shirley is known for her versatility and can pull off mesmerizing renditions of Hindi & English tunes. Describing herself as “A tiny one, with not so tiny dreams”, Shirley is definitely making it big and is on the road to great heights of success.
