Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian pop singer and songwriter. He was discovered by an American talent manager, Scott “Scooter” Braun, who saw a YouTube video of 12 year old Bieber singing Ne-Yo’s So Sick. Bieber soon moved to America to pursue a career in music. Before long, he became a teenage heartthrob with back to back hit albums and chart topping singles. Today he is a Grammy award winner and one of the world’s biggest music stars with an international fan following.

Bieber’s first EP (My World) was certified platinum in the United States and seven songs from his debut EP were charted on Billboard Top 100. His first full-length album My World 2.0 contained the single Baby which was among the most watched videos on YouTube for 2 years and the album was certified triple platinum in the United States. According to a report, Justin Bieber became the most searched name on the search engine Bing by 2011, overtaking TV Star Kim Kardashian and passing 15 million followers on Twitter. After the huge success of his debut album, Justin released two remix albums – My Worlds Acoustic and Never Say Never (The Remixes) – during his debut headlining tour, My World Tour (2011). Bieber’s second album Under the Mistletoe debuted at number one on Billboard 200. His third album Believe was released in 2012 and once again debuted at number one on US Billboard 200. The album marked his transition from mainstream teen pop to R&B and dance-pop. Bieber released his fourth album Purpose in 2015, which took him two years to create because he had trouble finding a musical direction for the recording. The album was a massive hit, with three of its singles What Do You Mean?, Love Yourself and Sorry landing on the top ten list of the most watched videos on Vevo. Later in 2016, his single Sorry became the most viewed video on Vevo with over 1.8 billion views worldwide. Aside from these achievements, the Canadian singer has won many awards, including the American Music Award for Artist of the Year in 2010 and 2012. He won the coveted Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for the song Where Are Ü Now in 2016.
