About

Brando Crawford is best known as the Director, Producer and Creator of Acting for a Cause, a grassroots campaign that raises money and awareness for several charities nationwide by re-imagining and acting through a series of curated play and screenplay table-reads with the best actors of Young Hollywood; Florence Pugh, Margaret Qualley, Justice Smith, Madelaine Petsch, Natalia Dyer, Jacob Elordi, Brandon Flynn, Auli'i Cravalho, David Corenswet, Alexander Hodge, Alex Wolff, Ruby Rose, and Zazie Beetz all played roles for the project. After the first three play readings, Chicago Tribune released an article on the front page of their Arts and Entertainment section calling Crawford a "Visionary". By July a wide variety of news outlets wrote pieces about the project: BBC World News, Variety, and JustJared, included. At the end of Spring 2020, Crawford launched Acting for a Cause Media, to continue collaborating with his Young Hollywood friends and creating art for causes. Brando used to sit in the sound booth at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and watch their plays night after night- this experience informed his understanding of the dramatic arts. He runs an 'ethical investments firm' valued at 5 million USD and helps his mother run a "homeschool in school" alternative schooling program. Follow him @professorbrando
